I moved up to Scotland four years ago and, not knowing many people, I thought it would be a good idea to join Strathendrick Riding Club as a way to meet, and hopefully make a few friends! A few years down the road, I have met some wonderful people and made some firm friends.
In my riding career I have competed in Show Jumping, Showing and, latterly, Dressage. I competed up to Inter 1 and was trained by Emile Faurie. My best placing in Dressage was at the Nationals, where I came 5th in the Medium with my ex heavyweight show hunter winner Enniskean. As some of you already know, I'm a judge on the Sport Horse Panel. The object of my four legged love, is called Bond (Vagabond is his Sunday name!) He is home bred, by Darco, out of a grade A mare I used to jump. Bond is really bred to jump but by the time he was broken I had given up jumping and moved over to dressage, so Bond spent a few years in France jumping with friends. Bond and I like to potter about the place these days, and when we are feeling quite energetic we like to attend the odd lesson here and there. My aim with Bond this year is to register him with British Dressage and start competing him in Elementary.
I look very much forward to catching up with you soon at one of our events! |
